Setiap kali apabila kita merasakan bahawa keadaan mula pulih dari penularan COVID-19, namun sebaliknya jumlah kes yang dicatatkan kembali meningkat lagi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Umpama mula menimbulkan rasa putus asa dan tiada kepedulian lagi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kita sekarang berada pada tahap yang sangat kritikal. Jumlah kes tidak menunjukkan tanda-tanda penurunan dan beberapa negeri, termasuk Johor, kini menjadi negeri berisiko tinggi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rakyat tidak boleh mengabaikan SOP walaupun mereka telah menerima suntikan vaksin terhadap virus tersebut. Ingatlah untuk menjaga diri dan satu sama lain, ini kerana sesetengah rakyat memandang ringan SOP dan bersikap seolah-olah wabak itu sudah berakhir.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sikap berbahaya ini hanya akan menambah lagi beban kemudahan penjagaan kesihatan kita.<\/span><\/p>\n

Walaupun sistem penjagaan kesihatan kita diurus tadbir dengan baik, namun semuanya mempunyai batas. Jika beban yang terpaksa ditanggung menjadi keterlaluan, pasti akan membawa akibat yang tidak dapat dibayangkan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saya harap agensi penguatkuasaan akan bertindak lebih tegas dan adil terhadap mereka yang melanggar SOP ditetapkan. Kita tidak boleh membiarkan keadaan menjadi tidak terkawal, seperti yang sedang berlaku di India sekarang.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saya juga berharap kerajaan negeri akan mengambil keputusan yang bijaksana dan bertindak demi kepentingan rakyat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saya menggesa rakyat Johor agar segera mendaftar untuk menerima suntikan vaksin. Percayalah kepada pakar kesihatan yang sahih, bukan khabar angin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sebagai Sultan Johor, saya amat mengambil berat akan kebajikan dan keselamatan Bangsa Johor. Saya tidak mahu lagi mendengar kisah sedih keluarga yang kehilangan ahli mereka yang tersayang akibat wabak ini. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sekiranya perintah kawalan pergerakan yang ketat diperlukan untuk menyelamatkan nyawa, biarlah ia dilaksanakan buat kali terakhir tetapi berkesan, dengan memastikan orang ramai juga memainkan peranan masing-masing bagi menjayakan peraturan yang dikuatkuasakan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pengorbanan mesti dibuat untuk kebaikan semua. Jangan kita menyesal kemudian hari, tiada gunanya.<\/span><\/p>\n

STATEMENT BY HM THE SULTAN OF JOHOR<\/span><\/p>\n

Everytime when it seems like we have turned a corner for the better against Covid-19, the number of cases spikes again.<\/span><\/p>\n

A sense of hopelessness and recklessness has begun to set in.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are now at a very critical juncture. The number of cases show no sign of abating and several states, including Johor, have now become high risk states.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rakyat must not ignore SOP\u2019s even when they have been vaccinated against the virus. Please remember to take care of yourselves and each other, because many are taking SOP\u2019s lightly and behaving as though the pandemic is already over.<\/span><\/p>\n

This dangerous attitude will only burden our healthcare facilities and if it continues, the prospect will be very grim.<\/span><\/p>\n

As well-managed as our healthcare system may be, everything has a limit and breaching it will have unthinkable consequences.<\/span><\/p>\n

I hope enforcement agencies will come down hard and justly against those flouting SOP laws. We cannot allow the situation to get out of control, like the dire situation in India now.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is my hope that the state government will also make wise decisions and act in the best interests of the rakyat. I also urge all Johoreans to register their turn for vaccinations. Trust our medical experts, and don\u2019t believe rumours.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the Sultan of Johor, I am very concerned about the well-being and safety of the rakyat of Johor. I do not wish to hear more sad news of families grieving for lost ones. To that end, we must all play our part and be responsible for everyone in the state of Johor.<\/span><\/p>\n

If a strict movement control order is indeed necessary to save lives, let it be the last one and ensure everyone does their part to make it work. Sacrifices must be made for the greater good of all. It is better to be safe than to be sorry.<\/span><\/p>\n
