1. On 30th October 2020, Her “Excellency” Kamala Shirin Lakdhir, had knowingly taken out of context and wrongfully criticised Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad on his statement regarding the disproportionate and unnecessary actions of French President, Emmanuel Macron.
2. It seems that taking things out of context to mobilise a certain narrative is becoming a common standard in US Governance, starting from the current US President, trickling down to his Ambassadors. In lieu of this, Her “Excellency” Ambassador to the US should refrain from making Ill-conceived and smart response. We recalled how far the truth statement by the finish Foreign Minister on the same development in France has in comparison her excellency response.
3. PEMBELA Youth reminds Her “Excellency” to not practice wilful ignorance and double standards in upholding human rights. The US has no grounds to look down on the Muslim world while it continues to violate and abandon the human rights it sought to uphold by invading Muslim countries with their allies.
4. Your country is responsible for destroying nations, murdering fathers, raping mothers, orphaning children, and capturing whosoever opposes your interests in building an imperial presidency. Your country culminates and inflicts far greater damage that is beyond what is due right in the defence of a person’s faith, honour, or nation’s sovereignty. Due to this, we denounce your double standard of human right.
5. The senseless acts taken by the US over the years need to be highlighted as they have become a vulgar, barbaric, and uncivilized state. The world still remembers the torture of detainees in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, and the world will never forget the murder of George Floyd and the systemic racial abuse by the Police towards People of Colour.
6. PEMBELA Youth stands with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad’s statement because it is our principle to uphold the truth. It is by this reason, we urge Muslim leaders to speak up against the West and remain them off the universal value of humanity and justice that has always been the core value in our faith.
7. We urged America to live up to the moral leadership as proclaim in the thought of Founding fathers of America Constitution.
