1. Pertubuhan Muafakat Sejahtera Masyarakat Malaysia @MUAFAKAT wishes to congratulate Ms Latheefa Beebi Koya, as Chief Commissioner of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), effective Saturday, June 23, 2019.
2. MUAFAKAT welcomes this appointment and wishes her to assume this great responsibility with high integrity, trustworthiness and fairness in implementing it without bias against any party.
3. This appointment we believe is proof of the government’s high confidence in her credibility as a lawyer with extensive legal experience and background. We are certian that justice will be implemented and corruption will be overcome and reduced within the government and other agencies.
4. We are hopeful that with this appointment, the continuity and excellence of the MACC governance will progress and move towards the highest professionalism when setting aside the MACC Act 2009, that the appointed Chief Commissioner of the MACC must consist of civil servants.
5. Without prejudice, MUAFAKAT will ensure cooperation with the MACC in cleaning any corruption. Attention should be addressed especially in the public administration sector without exempting government administration.
6. The world is now seeing Malaysia as a model to combat corruption. We are moving towards a visionary nation, free from corruption, which is what PRU14 has been advocating up until the fall of the previous government which was laden with cases of corruption, and now, waiting for justice to be served..
7. Do not forget too, MUAFAKAT wishes to record a thank-you letter to YBhg. Dato’ Sri Sukhri bin Abdull for his excellence in his service to the country when he was appointed Commissioner of the Prevention of Corruption Commission by shortening his earlier contract service which should expire on May 17, 2020.
8. May Allah SWT bestow His kindness and mercy upon the service of Dato’ Sri Mohd Sukhri bin Abdull over the years.
