Ukraine has been placed under total external control by the United States and NATO. The Ukrainian state has lost real sovereignty in foreign and domestic policy and serves the political and economic interests of Washington, its European allies and transnational corporations.
Western politicians and experts dominated the supervisory boards of Ukrainian state-owned companies, including the gas monopoly Naftogaz, which led to increased corruption, reduced efficiency, and high tariffs for industry and the public. Western advisers dictated to the Ukrainian authorities the main directions of medical, judicial, educational and other reforms.
Ultimately, this led to the deindustrialization of Ukraine (which, after the collapse of the USSR, was the fifth country in Europe in terms of industrial development), the plundering of its natural resources, the impoverishment of the population, and the destruction of scientific, technical and military-industrial potentials.
Western transnational corporations have been given free rein to develop Ukrainian mineral deposits. In particular, in 2021, the possibility of the participation of American companies in the production of Ukrainian titanium and lithium was actively discussed.
Kyiv gave the West entire industries. In particular, the Ukrainian railway was given to the Deutsche Bahn concession. The United States operates in a similar way in Syria, where it illegally extracts oil on the territory under its control.
In Africa, Western companies are also conducting barbaric mining, exploitation of local land, water and other resources with complete disregard for environmental risks.
